Life is what happens when you are busy making other plans.

So, I have finally finished my resume and since then I have been having major anxiety issues over it and job search. I break out into sweats just thinking about going on an interview. Four years ago I was a young snot-nosed engineer that thought she knew everything.
Four years later motherhood has taught me I know nothing.
And I dare not read anything about women re-entering the job search. They all paint a pretty dismal picture, how employers discriminate against us and our earning potential is less than that of our male colleagues. I don't want to cloud my mind with that. I'd rather just go in and think I have a good chance of getting the job of my dreams.
So do you want to see my resume? It is right here.
So wish me luck.
In other news, we finally got Emma's Easter picture done. Peter snapped 283 pictures in the span of 15 minutes, and we gone one decent shot.

The rest? Well....take a look:

If you would like him to make you a collage of your Easter pics for a reasonable price, send him an email at udsigt.photography @ gmail.com
Oh yes, and April 15 is right around the corner. Do you know where your taxes are?

Hi Jacki
You are a good writer. I like your view on life.
And Peter is still good with pictures - wow. Off course if helps with a darling model :-)
take care
Ellen
Any employer would be lucky to get you. I know you are determined and a great thinker that can solve just about any issue that may come up.
And hey if you think about it. If you can handle a 3 year old you can handle just about anything you can encounter in the job market...
did I take that many... hmm... ahh well it was fun :-)
Hello Jacki
I have just enjoyed your Easter pictures of Emma, but what about an Easter picture of the three of you? She is growing so fast and seem to be a funny girl, we look forward to have her among us very soon.
Good luck with finding a new job.
Lea
Awesome! I just love the silly pictures...
Good luck in the job search!
Love the pics... captures her spirit.
Girl, you are impressive on paper! And I'm sure in person too.
Get the first interview over with as soon as possible and you'll feel so much better.
I actually like the other ones better, esp. the Marilyn Monroe one.
Oy, good luck with the job search. In your field I'm sure there is a lot of opportunity. Other fields, not so much. My dad works in automotive management, and is highly trained and respected in the field... but he has been three months without work now and no one will hire him for even the lowest job on the ladder. He's too old, overqualified, etc., they're afraid he'll take their jobs. Job market can be ugly even if you do everything right.
I love the pictures and by the way you're resume looks great. At least you're qualified for something. I'm about to hit the job market again and realizing I've got no qualifications so maybe I'll just stick to my job.
Looks like somebody really enjoyed the easter grass this year! Bet that was fun to clean up!
Good luck on your return to the working world. I'm sure you'll do great! Please don't forget about us out here in the blogosphere when you make it big, though!
Looks like Emma was wound up while you were trying to take her picture!
Good luck (or whatever, I never know what to say since I don't believe in luck) with the job search!
Emma looks delightful in every shot!:)
hi jacki! good luck on job hunting! i'm sure you'll be perfect for your new employer!
Emma is a Star! She's going to be a model!!!
she is going to be whaaaat!!!!
man I just felt another gray hair pop out!!!
Those pictures are too cute! I think the one where she's throwing the easter grass is the cutest. It's totally normal to feel that anxiety by the way, and it will get better =)
Good luck!! You'll do great. And the pictures of Emma, awesome! :)
Your resume is great - you'll find a fantastic job in no time!!!
And I love the photos. Outtakes are the best :D
Try not to stress about your interview, though it's easier said than done. They don't seem to ask as many tough questions when you have some experience under your belt.
Good luck with the job search Jacki! And I really think that being a mother would make us better employees. I've improved immeasurably since becoming a mother. I think it can only help you! You're great and you'd be a commodity to any employer - just repeat that to yourself when you walk into interviews. I've heard it actually helps!
Hi Jacki. I saw the Easter photos above and they are fantastic. The collage is beautiful.
Love the Pictures of Emma!
